THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR AMERICAN INDIAN ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT (NCAIED) OFFERS NEW “MATCHMAKING” PROCUREMENT PAVILION DURING 22ND ANNUAL RESERVATION ECONOMIC SUMMIT (RES 2008)

Event will match public and private sector contract opportunities with participating Native American businesses.

The 22nd annual Reservation Economic Summit (RES), the nations leading Native American Business Conference, will be held March 3-6, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Las Vegas Hilton. This year the conference is expanding its support for numerous American Indian owned businesses by hosting a NEW Procurement Pavilion on Wednesday, March 5, 2008. This Pavilion will include nearly 2,000 face-to-face meetings between key U.S. Government agencies, prime contractors, corporations, and tribal and individual owned American Indian businesses.

The NEW Procurement Pavilion is the result of a new partnership between the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) and Business Matchmaking, Inc., a non-profit corporation. Business Matchmaking is the leading public-private sector small business procurement initiative that has facilitated more than 50,000 face-to-face meetings between small business sellers and government and corporate buyers, resulting in $1 Billion in contracts.

This new addition to RES 2008 will bring together "Buyers" (procurement representatives) and "Sellers" (small business owners and managers) for face-to-face appointments through a Matchmaking System; a process that provides precise appointment setting based on keywords and coding to ensure sellers are matched only with buyers who have expressed interest in specific products and services. The following companies and U.S. Government agencies are currently registered to participate: Battelle, General Dynamics, Gulfstream, Honeywell, IBM, L-3 Communications, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Corporation, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

The NEW Procurement Pavilion is being offered as a value-added benefit to the participants of RES 2008. There are four easy ways to register for the RES 2008 NEW Procurement Pavilion: Phone: (888) 712-8922, Fax: (918) 245-8007, Mail: NCAIED, 1601 South 129th West Avenue, Sand Springs, OK  74063, or online at www.ncaied.org/event-res.
