THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR AMERICAN INDIAN ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT (NCAIED) ANNOUNCES ITS 22ND ANNUAL RESERVATION ECONOMIC SUMMIT (RES 2008)

Mesa, AZ - The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) will present its 22nd Annual Reservation Economic Summit & American Indian Business Trade Fair (RES 2008) March 3 - 6, 2008 at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada. RES 2008: Partnering to Expand Business Opportunity and Success in Indian Country is the largest and longest running national American Indian business development conference and trade fair in the nation. Attendees include American Indian entrepreneurs, tribal economic and business development decision-makers, tribal leaders, and government and corporate executive buyers seeking Indian suppliers and contractors. Over 3000 attendees are expected to attend RES 2008 with over 350 Trade Fair exhibitors.

Throughout the three-day conference, keynote speakers will present the latest information on government policy and updates on the latest economic development trends. Topics for the break-out tracks and sessions will revolve around many important topics in Indian Country today. Exhibitors ranging from small business owners to Tribal Enterprise and Corporate giants will populate the Trade Fair. Some of the many RES 2008 supporters and sponsors include: Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Flintco, Pace Pacific, The Department of the Interior, Washington Mutual, KeyBank, and Hilton. Ken Robbins, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and President/CEO of NCAIED, referred to RES 2008 as “a time to build relationships and partnerships and an opportunity to develop contracting opportunities. More importantly, estimates from the RES 2007 conference showed a little over one-half billion dollars in contracting procurement”.

RES 2008 will open with a Monday night poolside welcome reception. The welcome reception will be an opportunity to enjoy great food, beverage, and entertainment while participating in quality business networking. As a new feature, the RES 2008 American Indian Business Trade Fair is being extended to a day and a half. The trade fair will open on Wednesday evening, March 5, 2008 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm with the trade fair reception taking place on the trade fair floor. The New “matchmaking” Procurement Pavilion is also an exciting element this year. The new matchmaking system matches buyers and sellers using keywords and codes for highly effective matches and face-to-face meetings. This all-day activity on Wednesday will enable face-to-face procurement meetings between government agencies, prime contractors, corporations, tribes, and American Indian businesses.

Prestigious awards will be presented at RES 2008 including: the Tribal Leadership Award, American Indian Business Owner of the Year Award, American Indian Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Tribal Enterprise of the Year Award, Corporate Advocate of the Year Award, Public Advocate of the Year Award, and Volunteer of the Year Award.

There are four easy ways to register for the RES 2008 conference: Phone: 1-888-712-8922, Fax: 918-245-8007, Mail: NCAIED, 1601 South 129th West Avenue, Sand Springs, OK 74063, or Register online at: www.ncaied.org/event-res.
