Who We Are
UIDA Business Services (UBS) is solely dedicated to developing
Native American economic self-sufficiency through business ownership.
UBS has worked with various Indian communities
in various phases of business planning and development. Our experience includes extensive work in these industries:

What We Do
UBS is operated through a cooperative agreement and with partial funding from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD)'s Defense of Logistics Agency (DLA).
The goal of this program is to provide contract
identification and procurement assistance to Native
American and Alaskan Native businesses throughout the Eastern U.S. UIDA makes available contract bid opportunities from federal agencies and large corporations doing business with the government throughout the country.
UBS researches, identifies and matches contract bid opportunities for clients through contemporary electronic means (World Wide Web, Internet, government bulletin boards, etc). Eligible firms are
instructed on registering on bidder's mailing list, and
the necessity for registration in the DOD's Central Contractor Registration (CCR)
and the SBA PRO-Net databases. In addition, clients are
made aware of various government small business programs such as Small Business Administration (SBA)
certifications for 8(a), SDB and HubZone; DOD's Mentor-Protege and Technology Transfer. UIDA provides
access to various resources for doing business with the government including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS), Military Specifications and Quality Assurance Standards.
UBS maintains a comprehensive database of capable
Native American-owned firms which is made available to corporate and government buying officials. A
online directory of
Native American-owned business is available to anyone on
our website
and is updated all most daily.
